3G Auction Held In Bangladesh

Grameenphone, Robi , Banglalink & Airtel Get License For 3G


In the auctions held Sunday, the country's top Grameenphone bagged 3G licence for 10 Megahertz (MHz) spectrum at the price of $210 million, while Banglalink, Robi and Airtel each acquired 5 MHz of spectrum at a price of $105 million.

Besides Teletalk already have got 10  Megahertz (MHz) spectrum although another 15 MHz of spectrum still to sell.Mobile telecom operators Grameenphone, Robi and Banglalink are likely to launch 3G services in Dhaka by October.
